Master of Philosophy (Biofabrication) | 2019
The Master of Philosophy (Biofabrication) is a unique offering for students interested in new additive fabrication methods for medical applications. The University of Wollongong (UOW) has joined forces with three leading universities to offer this degree which is the first of its kind in the world to offer eligible graduates a qualification in Australia and Europe. If you want to take a lead role in next generation industries, like printing body parts and regenerative medicine then this degree will be of interest to you. The program includes advanced coursework in methods of biofabrication and their application to health and medicine, practical experience in the use of these techniques and a research project related to a medical problem.
Course Structure
To qualify for award of the degree, the Master of Philosophy (Biofabrication), a candidate must successfully complete at least 96 credit points, comprised of 24 credit points of coursework and a 72-credit points' thesis

International Students
RESH900 Fundamentals for HDR Writing is designed to help international Higher Degree Research (HDR) students with their thesis writing skills in the early stages of their degree. Enrolment in this subject is compulsory for all Master of Philosophy international students who are from a Non English Speaking Background (NESB).

Collaborative Delivery
The Master of Philosophy (Biofabrication) is partially delivered through a collaborative arrangement with the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Julius-Maximilians University Wurzburg (Germany), and Utrecht University (Netherlands). Students can spend a year (two semesters) at one of the two European partner organisations. UOW students will enrol in a Masters of Philosophy which is a two year, full time research degree, and graduates may obtain two masters degrees, one from Australia and one from Europe.
