The Diploma of Medical and Health Sciences Fast Track can get you guaranteed* entry into the second year of a Bachelor of Medical and Health Sciences, Bachelor of Nutrition Science or Bachelor of Exercise Science at the University of Wollongong (UOW).
The course is designed for domestic students, studying in Australia.
How does nutrition influence the wellbeing of the human body? How do health workers can guide communities to achieve a better quality of life? How does the human body function from an anatomical and physiological perspective?
In the Diploma of Medical and Health Sciences Fast Track you will address these fundamental questions and gain the skills to be better prepared to succeed at your UOW bachelor. You’ll explore a comprehensive foundation in chemical and biological sciences where you will gain an understanding of applied sciences, including the anatomical, molecular and physiological processes of human health and function. You will also graduate with a Higher Education Diploma to help get you into the workforce while completing your bachelor's degree.
UOW College is offering Commonwealth Supported Places for eligible students for this course. This means the Australian government will subsidise your tuition fees by up to 75%. To qualify for this fee subsidy, you must meet the criteria, i.e. be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a permanent Australian Humanitarian visa holder. *Guarantee is subject to meeting UOW entry requirements.
We offer one intake a year in Autumn (February). The duration of this course is 9 months full-time, or part-time equivalent.See the course outline for more information.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

ASSUMED KNOWLEDGE AND RECOMMENDED STUDIES
UOW College assumes students will have studied Year 12 HSC Mathematics Advanced and achieve any result OR Year 12 HSC Mathematics Standard 2 and achieve minimum 60%.
