The Diploma of Business (Domestic) is an in-depth preparation program which provides guaranteed* entry into the second year of UOW's Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

Tertiary skills development embedded in all subjects in the Diploma of Business prepares you for successful participation in the second year of the degree, with an emphasis on a range of oral, written and presentation skills, including group work.

Assessment is by practical tasks, essays, mid-session tests and final examinations. Subjects have a lecture and tutorial format, or lecture and laboratory format, timetabled over five days.

All classes are intended to be delivered face-to-face on campus unless attendance on campus is restricted due to public health requirements or not possible due an individual’s COVID-19 circumstances, in which case remote/online delivery will be offered, wherever possible.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum ATAR 30; AND, Minimum 50% in Year 12 English Standard or English EAL/D
    OR;
  • Minimum 65% in 4 HSC Subjects; AND, Minimum 50% in Year 12 English Standard or English EAL/D
    OR;
  • Minimum 70% in 3 HSC Subjects; AND, Minimum 50% in Year 12 English Standard or English EAL/D

FEES

The above tuition fee is the amount payable for a full fee-paying place. Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) are available for eligible domestic students. This means that students can benefit from zero up-front tuition fees.  Please see our fees page for more information and eligibility criteria.

Guaranteed entry into UOW Bachelor*

If you achieve a final mark of at least 50 per cent in all subjects of the Diploma of Business you will receive 48 credit points (entry to second year) towards a Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Business Administration offered at all UOW campuses (excluding the UOW Sydney CBD Campus). A recognised Higher Education Diploma qualification is awarded upon completion, which can be used to pursue entry level career opportunities in banking, finance, accounting and commerce.
