Course Description

The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) programs have been developed with industry to meet needs in relation to occupational health and safety in the workplace. The programs are aligned with many of the competencies required by the various professional societies associated with occupational health and safety.

As a student you will develop knowledge in occupational and environmental health and safety, and in OHS management. You will also acquire the skllls to identify workplace hazards, learn to evaluate risks, analyse data, implement controls, and monitor OH&S performance.

The Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety is also a specialist stream within the Master of Public Health.

Subjects are taught in intensive delivery mode over 5-day periods, followed by assignments and a final examination. For information regarding the availability of subjects, please contact the Program Co-ordinator.
